AccraLife is in active development. This Disclaimer describes the Service as it exists today and will be reviewed before the game is released to the public.

This Disclaimer is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. It explains what AccraLife is not, so there is no confusion about the nature of the Service.

1.A Fictional Setting

AccraLife is a work of interactive fiction. It uses Accra, Ghana, and recognizable Ghanaian places, institutions, and cultural references as a setting for entertainment purposes only. AccraLife is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or representative of the actual city of Accra, the Republic of Ghana, its government or any of its agencies, or any real person, business, organization, or institution that the game may depict, reference, or resemble. Characters, businesses, events, and institutions in the game (including its police, courts, and government systems) are fictional and simplified for gameplay, and should not be taken as an accurate description of real Ghanaian life, law, or institutions.

2.Not Real Gambling

AccraLife includes an in-game sportsbook feature (“AccraBet”) and other chance-based game mechanics. These operate entirely on AccraLife’s virtual, in-game currency, described in Section 4 of our Terms of Service. Because no real money can be wagered, won, or lost through any feature of the Service, AccraBet and every other chance-based or money-themed feature in AccraLife is not real gambling, a real betting service, or a game of chance for real stakes under any applicable law. Nothing in the Service should be understood as an invitation or opportunity to gamble with real money.

3.Not Real Financial Services or Advice

AccraLife includes simulated banking, loans, a simulated stock/crypto market, and a simulated mobile-money feature (“Hubtel”). All of these operate exclusively on AccraLife’s virtual in-game currency and do not connect to any real bank, brokerage, payment processor, or financial institution. No real money is ever deposited, withdrawn, invested, borrowed, or transferred through any feature of the Service. Nothing in AccraLife — including in-game prices, interest rates, investment returns, or loan terms — is real financial data, financial advice, or investment advice, and none of it should be relied on for any real-world financial decision.

4.“As Is” Service

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, as described more fully in Section 8 of our Terms of Service. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times, free of errors, or free of data loss, particularly while AccraLife is in active development.

5.Other Players

AccraLife lets players interact through chat, the Video Gist social feed, and in-game dating. We are not responsible for the conduct, statements, or content of other players, on or off the Service. If another player violates our Terms of Service (for example, through harassment or abuse), please use the Service’s in-game reporting features, where provided, so we can review it.

6.Limitation of Liability

This Disclaimer is subject to, and does not expand, the Limitation of Liability in Section 9 of our Terms of Service, which applies to any claim arising from reliance on the Service or anything described in this Disclaimer.

7.Changes to This Disclaimer

We may update this Disclaimer from time to time, on the same basis described in our Terms of Service. If we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
